Ok.
What have we got here? Let's speak plainly.
We've got a sitting Senator who's father and brother run a company, HCA. It was founded by Poppy (Tom) Frist in 1968. This Senator, Senator Bill Frist, has owned this stock for years and for 11 years now he's been hounded by reporters and liberals accusing him of inappropriate unethical behavior in owning that stock. So, after years of accusations, Bill Frist sells off the stock precisely within months of when his family does... precisely at the point when he stands to make/save a lot of money. And let's not kid ourselves. A blind trust means he isn't suppose to know how much he made/saved, but it also means he can watch and see how much his total holdings jump/remain the same wrt the market. So what's the f'ing difference?
Now, we've also got a corrupt Republican named Chris Cox who was appointed by Bush to run a department he is apparently unable to run.
As with Mike Brown and any number of endless corrupt crony bootlickers that Bush has put in office, Chris Cox in his first critical assingment in office must recuse himself. Why? Because he is singularly unsuited to filling the position he's been given by our Corporatist Thief in Chief. Chris Cox can no more ethically conduct his duties as Mike Brown can competantly conduct his.
This is why it is quite evident that John Roberts for example isn't just a poor SCOTUS member because his wife is an anti-abortion freak or because he's done nasty work for corporatists... but more importantly because the guy doing the nominating (one GWB) isn't competant to be nominating himself the son of a filthy racist hag. And he's got over 50 year's experience there, so I think he's (surprisingly) more than qualified.
It's pretty clear that Frist's ownership of the stock turned out to be a mistake afterall. It's too bad Frist didn't listen to us liberals 10 years ago and sell it. But he arrogantly refused. So be it. Now he's gone and taken that extra step, that one step too far; he tried a one-cheek-sneak when no one was looking... and he's put his foot square in the shit. Now, that's a mixed metaphor we can all understand. Why? Because that's called Karma, Bill. I guess Cat Killers probly don't understand Karma. But we here at Kos do.
Not only must Bill Frist, the Cat Killer, step down, resign... ie, get his filthy cheating corporatist ass out of Washington before my parents who lost their entire retirement to pissant shitheels like Frist burn him at the stake; we need to have a purge of these corporatist creeps in our government, and I mean like yesterday.
Likewise, Cox needs to get lost. Everyone knows Bush puts these people in office to lie, hide crimes, and otherwise dismantle the government that Bush hates so much.
At what point are we all just going to come out and admit that no Republican in 2005 is working to strengthen the U.S. government and therefore the well-being of the U.S. people.
The Republican party is disfunctional, disreputable; it isn't a legitimate Political Party in the U.S. any longer.
All that is certainly true. But one step at at time. Frist, it's time to say goodbye to your powermongering and your mastubatory lust for the Presidency. You're looking more like Martha Stewart than Jimmy Stewart these days pal.
Bill Frist, Cat Killer; get the FUCK out of my government.
